Swingr Dream is an interactive art Installation designed for Burning Man 2022. Burning Man is an event focused on community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance held annually in the western United States.
Guided by the values expressed by the 10 Principles, Burning Man is a global ecosystem of artists, makers, and community organizers who co-create art, events, and local initiatives around the world. Most recognizably, tens of thousands of Burners gather annually to build Black Rock City, a participative temporary metropolis in the Nevada desert.
The nonprofit Burning Man Project produces the annual Burning Man event in Black Rock City, and provides year-round support, connection, education, and grants to an ever-growing network of Regional Burning Man communities in more than 40 US states and 35 countries.

SWINGRDREAM mission
Playa is our 6th element, which we employ to promote connection through expression, where burners are be invited to share a moment of wonder. Visually, for most of the day the sun creates a colour spectacle and the night a light performance results in an autonomous environment. It becomes the playa in a translated form that's represented as a triangular prism. There are 4 swings which promote random meetings which allow interaction (outwards) or a moment of shared vulnerability. (inwards)
our philosophy
The contemplative process, in an eerie environment and scenario, stimulates new ways of viewing things, creating new memories, diversifying one's view from withIN to affect one's view from withOUT. We can all fly to new heights if we adopt this concept. Our emotions, passions, and inner monologue are all independent of us, and if we let them to fly, our creative ideas will be able to address the issues that we all face. Our artwork provides a space for burners to express themselves, and share it without judgement. Their worries, loves, and secrets may become ingrained in our dream like experience for all time if they choose so. They can either face one another inwards to interact or to immerse in the view of playa and enjoy an inner monologue facing outwards. Also, given a keyboard which transmits thoughts and ideas onto LED stripes, which will then be shown across the space, allow them to commemorate the freedom of speech that was so cruelly taken away from them during the epidemic.
